FAFSA deadlines

  • March 15: Deadline for CT residents to qualify for state funding for 2024-25
  • April 1: UB Priority FAFSA deadline for 2024-25

The 2024-25 FAFSA form is now available but only for short periods of time during the soft launch. If you experience difficulties getting on the website, please try to access the site at a later time.

Schools will not receive any FAFSA information submitted until the end of January.

2024-2025 FAFSA changes

The FAFSA Simplification Act was enacted by Congress as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021. This law reduces the number of questions students will have to answer on the FAFSA form, makes crucial changes to the Higher Education Act of 1965 to expand Pell Grant eligibility and removes outdated restrictions to make federal student aid more accessible to all students.
